Mel York is an executive consultant with over 25 years of experience in cyber-security regulations (FISMA; IT Audits; HIPAA), systems engineering, operations and financial controls, information systems planning, business process engineering, risk management, and acquisition RFP development (SOO/SOW). He works with clients to audit controls and systems to quickly identify non-compliance systems to correct efforts. With audit reports, he partners with the client to create a road map for achieving full compliance and, with that, a successful outcome. He was integral in the creation of a DOH-wide data warehouse master plan and EAP data integration framework to enable different health departments to consolidate a wide variety and quality of IT databases. Mr. York is a Certified Management Consultant and a Project Management Professional. He has given IMCNCR presentations on Consulting: Dream Job/Worst Nightmare, Selling Professional Services in the National Capital Region, and Pricing Professional Services. Mel York earned his Bachelor’s in Science and Electrical Engineering BSEE) from Howard University and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing/Finance from Syracuse University.
