Jennifer Dare, MS, PMP®
Service Area Expertise: Technology and Science; Survey, Marketing and Outreach; Training and Organizational Development.
Jan Dare has over five years experience working on contract with NOAA Coastal Services Center. In her role, she manages software development projects and facilitates communication of technical information between the client and its constituents. Key to the success she and the CSC have experienced was the data distribution system that allows users to search for and request data for user-specified areas of interest and with custom outputs, such as file format and projection. New data is continually added to the system and maintained functionality enables the delivery of ongoing user support by providing timely responses to user questions, system errors and requests for new data. Jen Dare is integral in this process and since implementation the client’s constituents have easy access to data needed with data downloads averaging well over 5,000 requests per quarter. Prior to this, she worked as a Coastal Management Fellow, developing geospatial data and a distribution system for coastal management applications. Ms. Dare is a Certified Instructional Designer and Project Management Professional with specialized training and education in Technical Writing for Professionals, Facilitating with Ease, and Cartography with ArcGIS. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and her Master’s degree in Marine Resource Management with a minor in Earth Information Science and Technology from Oregon State University.
