Interpersonal Communication Training
One of the greatest sources of conflict and organizational disharmony comes from poor communication among team members. In some cases we hear, but don't listen. In other cases, we talk and don't hear. Effective communication confers power on those who do it well. The Interpersonal Communication training workshop is composed of two parts: Personalities and Communications and Communication Challenges.

Course Content

  • Practice clear communications
  • Recognize personal leverage for influencing
  • Enhance communication on work tasks with simple tools

  • Improve interpersonal communications
  • Diffuse emotions when dealing with others
  • Demonstrate ability to influence upward
  • Exhibit strong active listening skills

Target Audience

  • Department heads, supervisors, and staff

Materials/Text

  • Workbook with references and graphics
  • Approximately 35% of the time is in the presentation mode
  • Client-based case studies, supported by individual and group activities and exercises, serve to reinforce the lessons

Course Length

  • One-day for up to 25 individuals per session
