The manager’s role is to get the work done. There
are hard ways of doing this and there are better
ways. In this session, we present several tools and
strategies that will equip managers to be more
effective in making certain the work gets done.

- Listening and feedback skills
- Coaching and counseling
- Resolving interpersonal conflict in the
workplace

- Appreciate and learn how to work within the
‘new’ environment
- Discover your own personality style and how
to use it more effectively
- Practice active listening and its use for
effective employee feedback
- Utilize new interviewing skills in coaching
and conflict resolution

- New supervisors and managers
Materials/Text
- Workbook with references and graphics
- Approximately 35% of the time is in the
presentation mode
- Client-based case studies, supported by
individual and group activities and exercises,
serve to reinforce the lessons
Course Length
- One-day for up to 25 individuals per session
